President's Welcome

Beloved, welcome to the web site of the National Missionary Baptist Convention of America. We are mindful that this is an information age. Conventions no longer rely upon mimeographs and faxes to get the word out to the masses. As President of this august body, it is my intention that NMBCA would be on the front lines of technology.

All eyes are on the next gathering of our convention - the Summer Board, held in conjunction with our school of methods, the National Baptist Sunday School & Baptist Training Union Congress, returning to Dallas in June. The local host committee along with the coordination efforts of the Dr. T.B. Boyd, III and the R.H. Boyd Publishing Corporation have worked to ensure that this year's Congress will be one of the best in our history.

Thank you to those pastors and delegates that attended our National Baptist Joint Board Meeting in Atlanta in January. We certainly ask for your continued support of the convention throughout the year and please remember to support the on-going efforts of our conventions through the work of our auxiliaries and boards (Foreign Mission, Home Mission, Education, Evangelism, and Benevolent). I welcome your comments regarding the Joint Board Meeting in order that we may improve the operations of our convention.

Over the course of the next few months, we are adding more and more information to this site. We thank you for your comments about the web site and we're going to continue to make you proud of the work of this convention body. I am asking that our Auxiliaries and Boards forward to our Webmaster all of the information that you want placed on the site at drreh@comcast.net.
