EVANGELICAL BOARD will prepare the host city for the arrival of the National Missionary Baptist Convention of America from an evangelistic and witnessing stand point. It will also conduct evangelical conferences and workshop.

To prepare the host city for the arrival of the National Missionary Baptist Convention of America from an evangelistic and witnessing stand point. It will further conduct evangelical conferences and workshop.
Essential Job Functions

The Evangelical Board shall carry the program of Evangelism approved by the Convention.
Additional Job Functions

The Evangelical Board should have a planning session with Board members prior to each conference.

The planning session shall take place early enough for a copy of the program to be passed on to the Vice President of Boards.

Evangelical workshops or conferences should focus on various types or phases of witnessing. Example:

Street Evangelism
-
Workplace Evangelism
-
Door to Door Evangelism
-
Evangelism in the home
-
Evangelism through Auxiliaries (Sunday School, etc.)

Music in Evangelism (Musicians-Pastors in separate classes)

Apartment Complex Evangelism
-
Etc…..

Conferences should include all churches in our Convention when in selected cities

Night Preacher should bring his church choir unless Convention President is scheduled preacher, then the host church or local church should provide the music.

Try to make at least one conference in a rural area each year

Some churches need workshops-revivals, but cannot afford Evangelist (Evangelical Board could be strong alternative)

Evangelical Board should be responsible for its own programming (including the preparation and printing of the actual program).

Host church shall provide (at the suggestion of Board Chairman) theme speakers and noon and evening preachers.

Evangelical Board will be responsible for providing marketing material for host churches.

The Pre-Convention Crusade shall be held at a church other than the Host Church for the Annual Session.

In an effort to alleviate hosting being the responsibility of a single church the involvement of State Presidents (if he is in the host city) local Moderators and local Convention churches is imperative.
