HOME MISSION BOARD will identify and evaluate the needs of struggling churches that are registered in the National Missionary Baptist Convention of America, and bring forth recommendations for these needs to be met. The Home Mission Board shall seek to keep alive struggling churches, maintain a Baptist Christian Witness, and seek to extend the work of the kingdom in newly settled or densely populated areas in the domains of the Convention.

Position Overview

To identify and evaluate the needs of struggling churches that are registered in the National Missionary Baptist Convention of America, and bring forth recommendations for these needs to be met.

Essential Job Function 

•  The Home Mission Board shall seek to keep alive struggling churches, maintain a Baptist Christian Witness, and seek to extend the work of the kingdom in newly settled or densely populated areas in the domains of the Convention.

Additional Job Functions·       

• The Home Mission Board shall designate persons on the Board to perform on-site evaluations of struggling churches.
• On-site evaluation expenses shall be absorbed by the Home Mission Board.  In the event that the home Mission Board  is unable to absorb these expenses, the Chairman of the Home Mission Board should submit his request to the E-Committee for assistance in fulfilling the request of the Pastor in need.
• The Home Mission Board shall contact State Presidents to identify and solidify a struggling church’s need.

• Chairman shall receive recommendation from state President for a representative from each state to comprise the Home Mission Board.

• The Home Mission Board will be responsible for providing marketing material for member churches as it relates to projects and soliciting funds for their Board.
